Hitchings returns to the Riverside for the new season!

We’re very pleased to announce that the 22year-old defenceman has returned to Chelmsford for another season. This will be Dan’s 3rd year with the Chieftains and he has been a solid part of the team from the start.

Hitch bagged himself both coaches player and players player at the end of season awards proving how integral he is to the team! 

Coach Cliff commented ‘Getting Hitch back on the team was one of the easiest decisions to make, I knew him from when he was really young but hadn’t coached him for years and I was really happy with working with him again last season. Hitch works hard for the team every night, he’s dependable and does everything we need him to do with the minimum of fuss, he really came on last year and improved as the year went on to the point that he was one of our most consistently high performers by the end of the year. I’m looking forward to working with him again when the new season starts.’

When asked about his return, Hitchings commented ‘I’m excited to be back at Chelmsford for another season. I’m really looking forward to the season ahead after becoming playoff champions last year! The team that cliff has put together certainly can push for more titles. Hope everyone’s having a great summer see you all in September!’
