Player Biography

Hi, my name is Ben.

I play in defence for the Chieftains.

I first played ice hockey in 2006, playing for Milton Keynes Storm Under 16's. I moved across the pond to continue my hockey education in Canada and the United States for five seasons. I returned and signed for Milton Keynes Lightning in the 2013/14 season

I've played for Manchester Phoenix. Peterborough and Streatham before returning to my home town club in 2019. I was at MK Lighting for 4 years but I decided on a change for the 2023/2024 season and came to the Chieftains.

I’m really happy to be back in Chelmsford for another year. Last season was great and it was genuinely the most fun I’ve had playing hockey in a long time which is down to Cliff and the group that he put together.  Whilst we finished short in the league and the cup, winning the playoffs was the icing on the cake for me and I’m really pleased we managed to bring some silverware back to Chelmsford for you all. On reflection though, last season has given me a sense of unfinished business. Building on that playoff win will be huge for us this year and with the team Cliffs put together I think we can go on to bring a few more trophies back to the Riverside
