Dynamic duo return!

The Bartlett brothers are back for 24/25

Chelmsford Chieftains are pleased to be able to announce the return of the ‘Dynamic Duo’ Cameron and Grant Bartlett to the Black ’n’ Gold for the upcoming season. The Romford born pair moved up to be full-time Chieftains in 2012/13 where they have played a vital part in our success over the years.

Coach Lewis Clifford commented “Obviously it goes without saying that I’m delighted to bring Cameron and Grant back. Their history with the club far predates me and I’m sure in one way or another will continue after mine as well. I think when I first came to Chelmsford there was a period of adjustment for all of the long term Chieftains, and these 2 were no different, but they wanted to buy in and change things and although it took time (as all good things tend to) they were both outstanding once we all got on the same page. It took me a while to figure out their strengths and differences as they always just get lumped in together but they are actually their own men who are both better at certain things than each other. There isn’t a team or coach in the league that wouldn’t want one or both of these players, which proves what an asset they both are, I am looking forward to getting back on the ice and continuing to develop things at the Riverside.”

 When asked about returning for another season Cameron commented “I’m happy to be back for another year after the success we had last year. It’s only going to get better with the team Cliff has built so we’re excited to get going and push for more this year. Hope you’re all enjoying the summer and see you all in September.”

Grant remarked “Cliff is putting a great team together and I wanna be apart of it. After speaking to Cliff at the end playoffs it was a no brainer to re-sign for the upcoming season. I’m looking forward to see what this season brings after all, there is no place like home, the best fans in the league see you in September.”
