The 21 year-old defenceman originally signed from Scottish club Murrayfield in 2021. But he left to join the Raiders in the National league for 22/23. However he came back home part way through the season and slotted right back in at Chelmsford like he hadn’t been away. He brings a wealth of experience to his game having played for Scotland Internationally too.

 

Chieftain’s coach Lewis Clifford commented “When I watched the Chieftains last year I was always impressed with Ethan, he had a lot of composure on the back end, moved the puck well and played on the top of the powerplay unit. Ethan’s experience of playing in the SNL and some time in the National League will help us and he will play a massive part in our defensive core this season. I’m looking forward to working with Ethan and finding him a partner who can really compliment his skill set”.

 

Ethan commented “Coming back to Chelmsford this year was always my first option so when asked to come back it was an easy decision. The supporters ,staff and players have made it feel like a second home for me the past 2 years. I’m looking forward to working under Lewis and hopefully bringing some silverware to Chelmsford this season. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their summer!”
