TJ is back for 24/25

Huge fan favourite remains in the Black & Gold

Chieftains are delighted to announce the return of TJ Fillery for the 2024/25 season. 

This season is TJ’s 9th season in the Black and Gold!

A player you fans love and a player the opposition don’t however we’re sure that you’re all glad to see this news. 

Coach Lewis Clifford commented “TJ is one of the guys on the team I didn’t know at all before I came here but he’s been great for me ever since I arrived. TJ is a great guy to have on the team, he has an exceptional work rate, is fully committed to the team and chips in with goals and assists at important times. I’m looking forward to working with him again next season even more so now I know him and how he operates.”. 

When asked about signing once again for the Chieftains TJ commented  ‘Im really pleased to announce I’m going to be back for my 9th season in the black and gold jersey, last year was unbelievable and I can’t wait to do it all again, finishing the season as play off champions was the best feeling. I look forward to coming back to Riverside and working with Cliff and the boys to push for more silverware. The experience and depth in the squad Cliff has created was unreal, and I’m sure we will recreate again! But… of course I’m looking forward to doing what we do best in front of everyone at Riverside! Everyone says it but it’s true, we have the best fans in the league! Bringing that atmosphere to every game is crazy and I can’t wait to do it all over again. Enjoy the rest of the summer and I’ll see you all in September’
