Coaches thoughts.....
Coach Cliff gives his thoughts on our last game of 2024
Hi Chieftains Fans,
The time has come for us to have a short but well needed break over Christmas and I think everyone deserves it, on and off the ice.
We went over to Oxford on Saturday missing some huge parts of the team and it was really positive to see players stepping up, moving around the line up and filling gaps where needed to seal what was really a comfortable win, despite the poor first period. 16 year old Leon Raj made his Chieftains debut and didn’t take a backwards step, he certainly didn’t look like he had never played at this level before, as well as Eden putting in a very solid display on the blue line which was great to see. The scoring was spread around the team which was encouraging and when called upon Jordan did everything he needed to in the pipes.
As we go into the Christmas break I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in Chelmsford for whatever part you play in this club of ours, on the ice, off the ice, in the stands and behind the scenes, it really is a special place and the support we have is second to none in this league. I hope everyone has a great Christmas with their nearest and dearest and a very Happy New Year, for those who don’t have a great time at Christmas for one reason or another, I hope you can get through it without too much stress and we will all be here for you in 2 weeks time when we get back to work against Slough and Swindon.
Thanks for all your support and see you soon,
Cliff.
