Chieftains first signing...

Alan is certainly not lacking experience for the 2023/2024 season!

Chieftains are delighted to be able to announce our first signing for the forthcoming 2023/24 Ice Hockey Season. Experienced forward Alan Lack is the first to put pen to paper for the new coach Lewis Clifford.

The 30 year-old from Bracknell started his career at his home town club and found himself wearing a Bees jersey once again last season in the NIHL. He has also iced for Romford, Basingstoke, Peterborough and Slough during his playing career.

Coach Lewis Clifford commented “I’ve known Alan for a long time but never been lucky enough to coach him until now. He is a player I have admired for a long time, plays with his heart on his sleeve, leaves it all on the ice every night and gives opponents a tough night every game. Alan brings us a lot of experience gained in higher leagues and this will benefit our younger players whilst his on ice contributions will make him a fan favourite at the Riverside in no time”.

When asked about his decision to ice for the Chieftains Lack stated “I am looking forward to the new opportunity Lewis has given me to join Chelmsford. I have always played with heart, passion and energy for the jersey I am wearing and this is what I will be bringing for the season ahead. I have made the move to not just bring in more experience, but also the desire to win silverware. Looking at the team Lewis has put together for 2023/24, I personally believe this is what we should be striving for this season.

So when the puck drops when the season begins in September Alan will once again be wearing the Black ’n’ Gold. But this time it will a Chieftains head in pride of place on the front of the jersey.

So welcome to Riverside and the City of Chelmsford Alan, the home of the Black ’n’ Gold!

Home, Away and Warm-up Shirt Sponsorship is available for Alan’s Jerseys.
