TJ is back for 2023/24

Supporters Player Of The Year Returns to Riverside!

Chieftains are delighted to announce the return of TJ Fillery for the 2023/24 season.

It will be the 27 year old forward’s 7th season with the Chieftains.

A firm fan’s favourite who was awarded with the “Supporters Player of the Year” last season. TJ came through Romford Junior ranks before coming to Riverside to join the Warriors in the 2016/17 season.

He progressed into the Chieftains the following season and has been teasing the oppositions defences ever since.

Coach Lewis Clifford commented “After visiting Riverside a couple of times last season, I knew that TJ was a key part of the team. For that reason I was keen to get him back onboard this year. You can see the tenacity and passion he plays with and that will make him a core part of the team once again this coming season”.

When asked about signing once again for the Chieftains TJ remarked “I’m looking forward to getting the new season rolling and meeting some new faces within the changing rooms. Looking at the first 3 signings that Lewis has made it shows the experience he can bring into Riverside. With his experience from coaching leagues above I feel he can get us right back up there. We’re hungry for some silverware! I look forward to working with Lewis and learning as much as possible, and of course I look forward to seeing and hearing the fans in a packed out Riverside”! See you all in a few weeks time! #3’

Welcome back once again to the Black ’n’ Gold TJ!
