Chelmsford Chieftains are delighted to announce the return of Richie Pickering.

 

The 24 year-old defenceman started playing at the age of 10 in Romford. After a few seasons out, he returned to NIHL2 for a couple of seasons at both Lee Valley and for the Warriors. Last year he received the call up into the Chieftains. He quickly slotted right into the team where he became a fan favourite.

 

Chieftains head coach Lewis Clifford said "I was keen to get Richie back on board this season, having a player like Richie on your team is invaluable, he keeps going and is always keen to improve his game. Seeing how well he has stepped up, I am keen to keep developing on this with him”.

When asked about his return Richie said "I’m really looking forward to coming back again. It was so good coming up into Chieftains last season and I cant wait to see everyone again in September."
