Coach Cliff provides his thoughts on the weekends win!

Hi Chieftains Fans,

Thanks a lot for packing the rink on Sunday night, hopefully you all went home happy with what you saw.  I was really pleased with the boys, apart from the goal we gave away which I felt was soft and totally preventable, we had control of about 90% of the game and executed in many areas that we had discussed in the week and before the game.

I think for only the 2nd or 3rd time this season we were ruthless and clinical in front of goal and scoring was spread out amongst the team.  I’m not a massive fan of running up scores against teams but what happens when you use your full bench happens, and it was great to see the play of the young guys who got a lot more ice time than they have in previous games.

I would just like to finish by congratulating Grant on scoring his 200th goal in Chieftains colours, obviously I’ve only been around for a small amount of them but to score that many goals for a team is one hell of an achievement and I look forward to seeing him add to that tally as the season progresses.
